Our Riverside Camping area, located 25 kilometres east of Golden and bordering Yoho National Park is a great option for your group. Camping is always free of charge all summer long.

The Campground is located on the southern banks of the Kicking Horse River, away from the Trans Canada highway and buildings. Stroll down to the river, have a campfire and admire the views of towering Mt Chancellor in Yoho National Park. We have many groups that return to camp with us year after year. Facilities at the camping area are limited, so be sure to review our Camping Policies so your group is prepared with all the ingredients for a great weekend. 1 km from the Camping area is the Kicking Horse River Chalets www.kickinghorseriverchalets.com
! The campground is located in a beautiful and rustic setting. All group members must be aware of this and prepared to overnight in such an area
The Campsite HAS:
• Established Camp sites
• Fire Pits
• Outhouses
The Campsite DOES NOT HAVE:
• Electrical Hookups of any kind
• Covered communal area for eating -Drinking water may or may not be
• Limited Kitchen Facilities available, so bring your own
•running water - showers
CAMPGROUND POLICIES ARE:
• Where you will camp will be determined by Campground Attendant
• Absolutely NO cutting down trees
• Pack out everything you pack in (We do not want beer bottles, cans, or garbage of any kind)
• Groups that fail to clean up their site will be billed for the cost of clean-up, to be determined by Alpine Rafting/CWA (Ex: Beer Bottles, Cans, Garbage of any kind) Minimum Clean-up Fee: $10.00
• Observe Fire Bans, absolutely NO exceptions
• NO vehicles below Rope Gate
• NO camping on river flats (gravel)
• NO creation of new fire pits, use existing ones
• Fire wood is to be scavenged only (There is plenty on gravel river flats)
• Stereos and noise are to be kept acceptable levels.
• Fireworks are prohibited at ALL times and your group will be asked to leave immediately
WHAT YOUR GROUP SHOULD BRING:
*It may be a good idea to have a group meeting beforehand to determine who will bring what* Drinking water, Garbage Bags, Tarp, Rope, Cooking Supplies (Food, Coleman Stove), Flashlight, Food, Toilet Paper, Warm Clothes, Sleeping Equipment, Axe (Not for cutting down trees)
