rafting the kicking horse

The Kicking Horse River is blessed with an abundance of Wildlife along it’s corridor. The morning portion of our trip that begins in Yoho National Park is the prime wildlife viewing area.

“Depending on the time of year, look for moose, deer, elk, black bear, grizzly bear mountain goats and bald eagles in the sub-alpine region along the river banks. Alpine Areas above the river are home to mountain goats, marmot, pika and grizzly bear. We sometimes see Goats along the Rocky Cliffs of the Middle and Lower Canyons. Your guides will point out such areas along the way. Additionally, our office is a haven for Bighorn Sheep. You are very likely to see herds of Bighorn Sheep the day of your trip”Jim - Owner
